Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale (born on April 2, 1985) is an American professional player of the basket ball. She is a player for the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. Arike Ogunbowale was a college basketball player as a member of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before being selected by the Wings as the fifth overall selection for the 2019 WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale was a Milwaukee Wisconsin native born to Yolanda Ogunbowale. Her brothers are Mario (26 years older) and Dare Ogunbowale (20 years old). She finished her high school record with 73 starts in her career and has a total of 1 477 and 739 rebounds. Ogunbowale competed in 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships where she won gold medals. She was named the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team 7 July 2014. Ogunbowale was also named to the ACC All-Freshman Team after her first season as a collegiate player. While still relatively new Ogunbowale has already established herself as an exceptional basketball player and is certain to follow her dream.
