Julie Chen Moonves is the host of Big Brother's 22nd season that premiered on CBS 5 August 2018. Chen Moonves served as the moderator and one of the original hosts of The Talk. She won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work. Her writing background was evident before she became a host, however her true passion was to write. It actually won her an Emmy. Also, she won the Emmy award for outstanding host of a talk show. From 2002 until 2010 Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. The previous assignments included anchoring the CBS Morning News and The Early Show. After the terrorist attacks on 9/11 Chen Moonves uncovered the father and leader hijacker for a thrilling and exclusive interview. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked alongside newsmakers such as former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania, the former defense secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news program which featured celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves reported as an anchor and reporter at WCBS-TV, a CBS-owned station in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a reporter for WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). She was a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the affiliate news service of the network, and she was a desk assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) as she completed her senior year at University of Southern California. It was her first job in broadcasting as a desk assistant for ABC News' late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is among her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel in the Columbia du-Pont-nominated premiertime show, Anatomy of a Riot that examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
